Blacksmiths Cottage
Blacksmiths Cottage is an 18th Century semi-detached stone cottage, backing onto fields and open countryside. The cottage sleeps up to 6, in 3 bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms. Many of the Isle of Wights most spectacular walks are within a few miles of the cottage; The Tennyson Trail stretching from one end of the Island to the other starts in nearby Freshwater, alternatively walk out of the door into open country-side. We have plenty of space in the entrance hall to store coats, walking boots, etc. and are happy to accommodate well behaved dogs who also enjoy walking. Located in a very peaceful spot in the village of Thorley, yet also near to the picturesque town of Yarmouth with its ferry, harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants. In addition there are a wealth of walks across the Island. We have numerous walks to offer in our welcome pack. The Kitchen, Lounge and Dining areas all face onto the south westerly garden with a large patio and large heart shaped wildlife pond. The famous Isle of Wight Walking Festivals are held in October and June, with in excess of 21,000 walkers taking part. Rockstone Cottage Guest House built around 1790 is a charming cottage situated just a 3 minute walk from the coastal path & the clean sandy beach of Colwell Bay. There are lovely walks along the seafront or over the downs with views of the Needles. Route maps can be arranged, with different walks daily. We welcome walkers & cyclists. Enjoy a holiday at our gorgeous Sailstay house in Cowes, Isle of Wight. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, perfect for up to 8 people. A great location for walking holidays or for the famous Isle of Wight Walking Festival in May. This Victorian terraced house is 2 minutes walk from Cowes town centre and the beach. It has been recently refurbished to a high standard with lovely wooden floors and solid pine furniture and has dishwasher, washer, dryer, tv, dvd player, freeview etc & . All bedding and towels are provided. Downstairs there is a well equipped open plan kitchen/dining/living room with a plasma gas fire & a double sofa bed. There is a bunk room sleeping 2 people & a luxurious wet room with a drench shower & wc. Patio doors from the kitchen/diner open onto a deck with a bbq & patio furniture.
