Lovely Cosy cottage located beside a river in a quiet and peaceful hamlet close to the Brecon Beacons. The location is perfect for walking straight from the door up into the hills away from crowds the area is unspoilt with plenty of wildlife. There are maps and walking information provided within the cottage.
The cottage sleeps up to three guests (max 2 adults) and is well equipped and decorated with new appliances and furnishings, log burner for cold evenings. Bedlinen and heating included in rental. Unfortunately we do not accept pets and the cottage is non-smoking. Please discuss your requirements with us and we will do our best to ensure you have a lovely holiday at our little cottage. |

The Cottage
Our holiday cottage in Hay on Wye, the World Book Centre, home of the internationally acclaimed Hay Festival, is available for rent. There is always a real buzz in Hay at any time of year. Set near the centre of Hay on Wye this quiet cottage is within 200 yards of pubs, restaurants and the River Wye. The Wye Valley Walk passes the front door.
200 yards down the road you are in open countryside on the Offa`s Dyke Walk. As walkers ourselves we have many local maps and walking books available for your use. The cottage has recently been tastefully completely refurbished as our second home, primarily for our own use. There is a kitchen/diner, that will seat 4 people, which is fully equipped with all crockery and utensils, a cooker, microwave and fridge. There is a reception room with open fireplace, two 2 seater sofas and TV with built in DVD player. There is a rear garden with a stone paved patio area with chairs and table available for warmer weather and a grassed area. The cottage has a spacious main bedroom with double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bed side tables with reading lights. The second bedroom has a single bed that can convert to a double (or 2 singles close together). The bathroom contains a shower cubicle, toilet, wash basin & heated towel rail. The cottage is suitable for 2 adults plus 1 or 2 children. However a 3rd adult could manage at a squeeze! Linen and towels provided. Coal & wood available if you want to supplement the central heating with an open fire. Free car park approx 200 yards away. |
