| Freshfield Ramblers | |
|---|---|
Freshfield Ramblers is a walking group for adults of all ages and abilities.
We actively encourage new walkers as guests, and if they enjoy walking with us, we welcome them to join the club. Our main activity is a monthly coach trip to areas such as The Lakes, North Yorkshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire and North Wales. The coach picks up at various points in Formby, Ainsdale and Southport. Once we arrive, there are 3 walks of differing lengths and ability. The shortest walk, the "C" walk, is about 6 to 8 miles, as much as possible on the level. The "B" walk tends to be the most popular and is up to 10 miles and can have some steep parts. The "A" walk is up to 15 miles, and usually goes to the top of the nearest hill! All the walks have been carefully researched and are lead by amateur but enthusiastic and experienced walk leaders. |

| Liverpool Catholic Ramblers Association | |
|---|---|
The Liverpool Catholic Ramblers Association conducts walks most Sundays throughout the year. They vary in length and physical demands and are in 3 grades:- A, B and C.
All walks are led by experienced ramblers. A walks can be 10 to 15 miles and are for the more experienced ramblers. B are shorter. C are shorter still and can be 7 to 8 miles. Consideration is always given in advance to the difficulty of the course and the terrain, whether stiles, steep hills, and busy roads are to be crossed, and the number of members who may be expected to take part. |
