| Ryedale Walking Group | |
|---|---|
Ryedale Walking Group organise around three walks each month, throughout the year. We usually meet at Pickering Swimming Pool at 9.00am, unless otherwise stated on the programme which is available on our website. The group is keen to promote car sharing or the use of public transport to get to the start of walks.
During the summer months we also organise shorter walks of around five miles on Thursday evenings on the rights of way around Pickering. Our weekend walks vary between seven and thirteen miles in length with favourite areas being Ryedale, the North Yorkshire Moors, the Yorkshire Wolds, the Cleveland Hills and the Vale of York including the Howardian Hills. Several times each year the group organise walking holidays. The group is affiliated to the Ramblers and is run by an elected committee of eight keen walkers. |
