The cottage is in the Normandy Basse region just outside a village called Passais La Conception. All the usual facilities are available including cooker, Fridge, Washing machine, microwave and all cooking utensils. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 double and 1 twin. (bedding and towels are also available). There is also a storage area for equipment. We are very close to Swiss Normandy where there are lots of trails to follow (can be very hilly as the name suggests). The Normandy beaches are approx 1 1/2 hours by car, but follow the entire coastline between Cherbourg and Le Havre. We are also within 2 hours away from the Loire Valley, Le Mans and Nantes. There are lots of paths and beautiful countryside to explore

La Chouette
La Chouette nestles in the heart of the Limousinbeautiful walking country in the foothills of the Massif Central. The countryside is hilly and unspoilt, with woods, forests, streams, rivers and lakes……….a different view around each corner! There are way marked walks…or you can set off with the IGN 1:25000 series maps and explore. La Chouette is ten minutes away from our two nearest towns of Eymoutiers and Chateauneuf la Fôret, and only forty minutes from Limoges, its airport and the A20 motorway. We are in a south facing, quiet and peaceful location, surrounded by woods and agricultural land. Richard and Jan have five comfortable guest rooms, all with ensuite shower rooms, heating, facilities to make tea and coffee, and access to a fridge. Should the weather be inclement, we have facilities for drying clothes and boots, and if you bring your bike, we have a covered storage area. Richard is a professional chef and food is his passion. Before setting off you can be assured of a hearty breakfast, with home made bread and preserves, fruit, cereal and fresh eggs from our hens. We can prepare a packed lunch for you, and at the end of the day you can relax in our garden before joining us for an aperitif and one of Richard’s renowned excellent four course meals. We are open all year round and welcome families and small group bookings.
