Le Grange dans Bouleternere
La Grange A converted fruit barn, in the centre of a working village just outside Perpignan, close to the Spanish border, Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. The barn has been converted to the highest standards and with two double bedrooms and a large convertible sofa it can sleep up to six adults, the accommodation is on three floors and not suitable for the very young or elderly. The barn has a large, secluded open air deck built into the roof and is fully equipped with everything necessary for up to six people. To keep you warm in winter, there is a Norwegian wood-burning stove and full electric heating and because the bedrooms are on the ground floor they are beautifully cool in the summer.

The Gers are a little know region of the Midi Pyrenees SW France. This beautiful unspoiled region is predominately farming and has no heavy industry or auto routes, it has some of the cleanest air in Europe, are one of the least densely populated regions in France with approx 30 inhabitants per square km. So it is no surprise that Gascons have the longest life-expectancy in France. The Gers features many official walking trails and routes, totalling to more than 1000km in length. Pass through unspoiled country side, Armagnac vineyards, bright sunflower fields, impressive castles and medieval fortified villages. We are with in easy access of a number of airports, Toulouse Blagnac is the closest at 75km. We also have an excellent rail link as the TGV stop at Agen. We are interested in accommodating small rambling groups and thought you might like to try this little know area of France. With an emphasis on the local gastronomic specialties such as Duck confit, Foie gras, Armagnac brandy and Floc, Melon and Garlic, we think you would enjoy the walking and our hospitality.

Other wildlife includes isards, deer, marmottes and red squirrels and there is a small population of brown bears, although sightings are rare.
