Les Hirondelles
Holiday Gites in Normandy 3 x 1-bedroom quality Gites in the grounds of owner\'s Barn, with Pool and Sauna. Located on the edge of the village of Cuves, in the beautiful countryside of the Valleé de La Seé, just a short stroll from the river. Nearest small town is Brécey, around 5km, while the larger town of Avranches is about 21km away. Approx 40 minute drive from Mont Saint Michel, there are many signposted walks and trails to explore in this area. In particular, the forest of Saint Sever, Calvados, has 3 very attractive trails with varying lengths. We can provide breakfast, packed lunches and evening meals, and local maps. Cycle hire is available locally and there is storage space on site. We are within easy reach of the ports of St Malo (1 hour), Caen (1h15m), Cherbourg (2h) and Le Havre (2h30m).

Whether you want a short 30 minute walk to the nearby walled town of Villefranche de Conflent, a UNESCO heritage site, or over a spectacular ridge to the spa town of Vernet le Bains, where if the idea appeals you can have a relaxing treatment in the Spa and snack before coming back over the ridge. Maybe your preference is trekking over vast mountain areas of the Pyrenees bordering France and Spain, then we can fulfil your wishes with guides etc. to plan your adventures. “Les Hirondelles”, Fuilla, can offer: April - November rewarding walks for all ages and abilities with many marked footpaths within the Catalan National Park. November – April you can combine coastal and snow walking with a base here in Fuilla equal distance from both about 45 mins. From the accommodation you can enjoy walks through lush forests, hidden pastures or alongside mountain streams. Some of the more familiar walks in the area are the Caranca Gorge, Col du Jau, Saint Martin du Canigou and Jujols nature reserve to mention but a few. The more adventurous trekkers can climb Mt Canigou, one the highest mountain in the French Pyrenees (2800m). We offer self-guided walking holidays in the beautiful Loire Valley. Flexible, easy way-marked walks take you past chateaux, through vineyards and forests and along the magnificent Loire itself. Accommodation is in a beautifully presented, fully renovated 19th century property right in the vineyards just outside the village of St Nicolas de Bourgueil. All rooms are en-suite and we can accommodate up to 12 people at once. Outside is a garden overlooking the vines, a large splash pool, boules piste and plenty of garden furniture to realx in after your exertions.
