Cretan House
We are retired but active ramblers and we would like to ask if the following might be of interest? Our son James has bought a house in the hills of eastern CRETE. We are off there on the 27th March for 4 weeks to get it all ready for letting and to explore the island etc. We then intend to holiday let it AND would like to ask you if any members might be interested in being amongst the first tenants? It is all brand new interior - the exterior is traditional Cretan house with terrace and garden - 2 bedrooms, new bathroom and new kitchen. As guinea-pigs, the rental would be ludicrously low and we would just ask if you would test to see all is OK for letting. In fact it should be perfect as well have been there and done the soft furnishings and the TLC bit. It is in a small village called Pervolakia - try a search engine to get an idea of the village. Lots of goats and donkeys and wild flowers and birds and walks in the hills - not too far from a beach and harbourside tavernas etc (we havent been yet but James says they are within a few kilometres, and you can walk from the village down a gorge to a beach -takes one hour) but nothing in the village itself except peace and quite. What do you think ? Please take your own sheets and we ask if you could please leave all spotless on departure. Book flights and the house any day to any day to take advantage of cheaper flights- if its a longer period work it out pro-rata. Flights to Heraklion direct from the UK or via Athens (ask your local Travel Agent to search for best prices. Kairos Villa, Naxos, Greece
Situated on the Greek island of Naxos in the Aegean sea south of Athens, Kairos villa provides luxury walking holiday accommodation for up to 10 adults. The villa sits on a secluded rural hillside outside the village of Glinado in the West of the island with stunning views towards Paros. The villa is surrounded by farmland and there are several walks that can be followed from the house without the need to travel further afield. The villa is a very large 5 bedroom house with three floors, each with its own balcony shaded from the sun by a pergola. There is a large patio area with a BBQ to the front of the house, together with a well tended and terraced garden. On the next level of the garden there is a pergola covered amphitheatre where you can watch the stunning sunsets. The swimming pool is at the lowest level of the garden with a tiled sunbathing area and a bar, as well as a shower. The pool is open between April and October each year. Naxos Island is a very diverse island with its beautiful beaches, olive groves and mountains. We supply detailed maps and guides with GPS data for over 30 walks across the entire island. We can also supply GPS devices where necessary.
