Rambling Club in Lanarkshire Scotland

The Lomond Mountaineering Club in Glasgow, Lanarkshire was formed in 1932 and membership is open to walkers and climbers, whatever their level of experience.

Regular trips to the Scottish mountains are organised where members search out classic multi pitch routes for great days out.

One of the club`s core sports is rock and winter climbing.  You don`t need to have climbed before to become a member, although for roped climbing you will be required to be a competent belayer and second.

Hill walking in the beautiful Scottish countryside is another cornerstone of the club.  Saturday and Sunday walks are arranged.  The Saturday walk is generally quite a long one.  The Sunday walk is normally shorter and members head for home when agreed.

New members are asked to contact the rambling club in Lanarkshire for a meeting before joining.  Details can be found on the website Lomond Mountaineering Club.
