Rambling Club in Hampshire
New Forest Group of the Ramblers` Association
The New Forest Group of the Ramblers` Association was set up in 1969. It`s aim is for walkers to enjoy the beautiful countrywide spanning West Dorset, East Hampshire and South Wiltshire.
Members of this rambling club in Hampshire receive the walking programme three times a year.
The programme includes:
A shorter walk on Saturday mornings, Saturday afternoons and every other Tuesday.
On alternate Thursdays there is a medium length walk.
On Sundays and Wednesdays the club arrange longer walks of around 10-13 miles.
In summer months, evening walks of around 4-5 miles are popular. These often end at a local hostelry for a well earned drink.
Walks are on a turn up and join in basis.
The club members also enjoy a range of social events.
These have included a coach trip to Bath and a four day walking break to the Isle of Wight.
