Teignmouth and Dawlish Rambling Club
Established in 1974 Teignmouth and Dawlish Rambling Club is a friendly and welcoming club in Devon cater for all levels of fitness. They offer both short and long walks on Sundays.
Club members walk for exercise, fellowship and the sheer pleasure of experiencing the beautiful countryside in and around Devon.
Tea Walks on the first Saturday of each month (with the exception of January) are organised. These walks are for ramblers who prefer a shorter, flatter 3-4 mile walk with tea, coffee and cake at the end.
On Wednesday evenings in the summer shorter walks are arranged, many of which finish in a local pub.
The club also have a popular programme of social events including dinners, barn dances, skittles and general fun evenings. Walking holidays, both in the UK and abroad are also organised.
Maintenance of both current and old rights of way is very important to the club who frequently campaign for as much access to the countryside as is possible.
Potential new members are welcome to participate in two or three walks before making a decision as to membership.
