Old Swan & Minster Mill
The Old Swan captures the charm of bygone years, throw in a good measure of modern convenience, add to it the laid back atmosphere of the gastro-pub inspired dining room and log fired bar and you`ll feel like there`s no place like it. The 600 year old inn comprises 16 magical guest rooms and suites and entree to the Old Swan Snug.
The adjoining Minster Mill is a bit of an upstart with 46 funky modern rooms, smaller and without the history but all with the familiar style and personal touches the de Savary family cram in by the bucket load. Here the delegate rooms are also available within a stone`s throw from the Minster Mill meeting spaces.
The four Mill meeting rooms can easily accommodate up to 60 delegates and are situated within the Cotswold stone buildings of the Mill.
In addition to the free flow tea and coffee, complimentary WIFI, Chefs home baked cookies and cakes, the conference facilities are supported with a Host Manager to ensure that all training and meetings run smoothly.
Dining is provided at the Old Swan in a series of cosy, flag stoned rooms with exposed beams and open fires. The food, fresh and locally sourced, is gastro-pub in style with the de Savarys setting the trends once again.
We have two beautiful Windrush treatment rooms which may also appeal to walkers after a long day hiking.
Rose Cottage, Hook Norton
Rose Cottage is a very pretty 18th Century holiday cottage that is located in a beautiful Cotswold village with a great pub within walking distance. It is full of features that provide a charming atmosphere including wood burner and delightful cottage garden, and can accommodate four to six guests (four adults maximum).
This is an ideal location for exploring the pretty Cotswold villages and towns along with Oxford, Shakespeare's Stratford, and the myriad of activities and attractions within the area available all year round. The cottage sits on a country lane that turns into a path which goes down to the pretty stream that meanders its way through the village.
Upon arrival at Rose Cottage you will be greeted by a welcome pack of tea, coffee, homemade cakes or scones and milk and you will be provided with the little extras you need on holiday like olive oil, cling film, foil etc.
Throughout the cottage the large windows have charming views over the back garden or across the rooftops and gardens to the valley beyond. There is luxury linen on the king size and super king size beds, making it perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Equally the beds can be unzipped to make two twins bedded rooms upon request, and with a sofa bed downstairs, groups of up to six guests can be accommodated.
The delightful village has it's own very well known Victorian brewery and visitors centre, and is surrounded by Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is a Pottery in the Village and a thriving large village shop and post office. From the village there are plenty of walks (The Cotswold Way runs nearby) and cycle rides in and around the Village, with many more pub-related ones published in the Brewery monthly magazine.
The main village pub is just a stones throw from the cottage and has a great chef and a regularly changing menu. With three other pubs in the Village where you can sample the famous Hooky Ales, you will be spoilt for choice with places to eat and drink (all have roaring fires in the winter!).
For those wanting to explore the area, the cottage is within forty mins of Oxford with it's stunning Colleges, galleries and museums; Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon; Woodstock (the home to Blenheim Palace) and the Cotswold villages of Bourton-on-the-Water; Burford and the historic town of Stow-on-the-Wold.
