Newcastle & District CHA & HF Rambling Club
Established 1902, we have leader-led walks each Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the year. We are affiliated to the Ramblers Association.
A group for people who like getting out on the hills - whether the Lake District fells, the Cheviots, Simonside, North Pennines, or weekends up to the Scottish Highlands.
Walks may vary from a short trip up Simonside to a day walk up Blencathra or even a bit of Munro bagging (we also like the Northumberland coast to be honest).
Each walk will have an organizer who should be an experienced hill walker but those coming along must accept that participation involves taking responsibility for personal safety.

Northumbria Walking Group
The Northumbria Walking Group is a Newcastle-based group primarily for people in their 20`s and 30`s (at least in heart and mind). Members lead walks every weekend to places such as Hadrian`s Wall, the Cheviots, the Northumberland coast, the Tyne valley and the north Pennines. We also have weekends away to the Lake District, Scotland and the Yorkshire Dales as well as occasional overseas holidays. Walks range from short, easy rambles to longer mountain scrambles. Social events include bi-weekly pub nights and meals out. There are well over 100 members and new members are always welcome.
Guided walks through various locations are now available with Shepherds Walks.
Sunderland Walking Club
Sunderland`s longest established Walking Club offers fortnightly walks on a Sunday with coach pick up points throughout Sunderland. Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday walks by car or public transport also feature on our programme with walks throughout the North of England. Saturday coaches also available.
New members, individual, friends, partners, groups and families are always made welcome!
